Featuring larger windows to accommodate the work of political cartoonist Jay Norwood J.N. “Ding” Darling, this historic studio cottage is where the famed artist worked during his visits in the 30s and 40s. Located at the threshold to our private beaches along famed Captiva Drive, this charming Gulf-view cottage is steps to the beach.
This delightful 1-bedroom Captiva Island cottage includes master bedroom with king bed, living room with sleeper sofa, kitchenette and relaxing screened porch with magnificent views, sunup to sunset. Bonus: TripAdvisor’s top-rated Old Captiva House (and Crow’s Nest Bar & Grille) are just moments away.
Behind the Name: During his 50-year internationally-acclaimed career, Darling used his cartoons to emphasize his passions for the preservation of nature and wildlife. Be sure to visit the reception area of Old Captiva House for a wall-full of his Florida-influenced artwork.
