Protect Captiva
Help us preserve and protect magical Captiva Island.
Those of us who live, work and play here on Captiva — which includes most of you, our guests and friends — love our island paradise for its beauty, tranquility, peace, pace and relaxed vibe. Unfortunately, there are forces at work to change the nature of Captiva Island forever, and not necessarily in ways that benefit our community, environment, ecosystem, security, safety and quality of life.
Please join us in our efforts to preserve and protect magical Captiva Island by learning more via this video, and communicating with the decision makers at Lee County Board of County Commissioners your opinion, for or against, this proposed dramatic change to Captiva.

Dear Commissioner:
This message serves to express my strong opposition to the proposed South Seas Island Resort zoning amendments for its property, accommodations and facilities. If approved, I believe that both Captiva and Sanibel Islands will result in significant negative changes in our environment, community, ecosystems, safety and quality of life. Please listen to the majority, represent our majority voice and vote no.
Thank you.
