More and more over-the-top reviews keep raving about the new Shipyard Restaurant at ‘Tween Waters Island Resort & Spa — with the latest and greatest, the cover of the weekly “Taste” dining section of the Fort Myers News-Press.

A four-page review complete with numerous, colorful and mouthwatering images, the five-star review highlighted the Shipyard’s bright, colorful, offbeat and fun nautical theme (including way cool bar) — but focused its greatest praise on (what else?) food and drink.

“Popular selections in the first two weeks include lite bites of ceviche, a tower of onion rings and Shipyard shrimp (steamed and tossed in signature sauce). Fish tacos, grouper in sandwich and tortilla crusted form, a bleu cheese and bacon burger, shrimp and grits, and a seafood boil with fish, shrimp, clams, mussels, calamari, andouille sausage, corn-on-the-cob, redskin potatoes and tomatoes are other best-sellers.

“Plus the drink menu includes a selection of craft cocktails – think Key lime pie, raspberry lemon drop, martinis, cosmos and mojitos, plus beer (including Captiva Blonde on tap), wine and spirits (including Shipyard branded whiskey).”

Shipyard is open 7.30 am – 11.00 am for breakfast and 5 pm – 10 pm for dinner. Reservations are not required, everyone is welcome anytime!
