Recently, a few friends and I embarked on a unique adventure with the fabulous folks at Cruisin’ Tikis Captiva. We set sail on a tropical floating tiki bar, a one-of-a-kind relaxing and exhilarating experience. The weather was perfect, with the sun shining and the temperature at a tropical 88 degrees. Our cooler was packed with various beverages, ensuring we were all set for a fun day with Cruisin’ Tikis Captiva at ‘Tween Waters Marina.
Setting Sail on a Tropical Floating Tiki Bar
Checking in was a breeze. We boarded at the dock, conveniently located just steps away from Tween Waters Island Resort & Spa. Captain Jason, our guide for the day, greeted us with a warm smile and a contagious enthusiasm that set the tone for the rest of our adventure.
Our delightful and adventure-filled cruise led us to explore Captiva’s beautiful Roosevelt Channel as we jettied toward Blind Pass. We saw various wildlife on the cruise, including fish, birds and even manatees gliding beneath the waters — what a thrilling memory!
Cheers to Good Times
The tropical drinks flowed, and we were delighted that we could bring our libations purchased at ‘Tween Waters and personal favorites. We chose to bring our favorite beer, Captiva Blonde, a refreshing brew crafted exclusively for Sanibel Captiva Beach Resorts. Its light, crisp flavor was the perfect complement to the tropical setting. We also enjoyed the freedom to play our favorite music using the Tiki’s available Bluetooth speakers, adding a personal touch to our cruise. Before we knew it, the hour had sailed by, and we were returning to the resort, our hearts full of joy and our spirits lifted.
After the cruise, we enjoyed a nice dinner at The Shipyard — one of ‘Tween Waters Captiva’s four outstanding dining options — and danced with pure joy to live music. To top off our day, we took sunset photos at the beach, and I even saw my very first green flash over the horizon! What an incredible day and a great way to explore the waters of Southwest Florida.
